Here we are at the Holidays, and like always, we don't have any money to spend on gifts, or even to go out to dinner. My hubby hasn't had a job since January 4th, except for a 2 month stint in the summer. It really bothers me, as he SAYS he's looking, but there aren't any responses, and he refuses to do other jobs, unless it's in the computer field! He's being too picky! ARGH! I just hope that DSHS will pay him to take care of me, and they've already listed him as my caregiver, and if they do pay him, that'd be great since he would be able to do things that he wants to do, like work for a TV studio. They require anywhere from a 3 month intership to a year as an intern, and thise internships are unpaid. I really want my hubby to have the opportunities to do the things he wants, but he also needs to provide for us, because I can't work full-time! I'll have this job at H&R Block, of course, but with him having been unemployed for the year, that money will go to pay our taxes, which include all his unemployment, and the money that the credit card insurance is paying to our credit cards, which is considered income. *sigh*
I can at least make ornaments for people using Rubber Stamps, and there are projects I can do also, that won't cost much. It just costs time, which I have. :) Everyone will be getting hand stamped cards, and I'm sure they will like them.

There are hobbies, and then there are HOBBIES! I've only had my license a month, but I've made all sorts of new friends! At the local club meeting, Keith and I met many Hams who offered help in making an antenna. We got a basic J pole antenna up and were able to talk to several hams due to repeaters (ham stations that pick up signals and rebroadcast on a different frequency for longer range), and joined the Radio Club of Tacoma. They run a repeater and hold meetings twice a month. Lots of helpful people. There's N7ANF who's more than willing to answer my questions. There's N7BU who gave us a ton of magazines to read. These magazines are over many years, and are still very useful, as the ham equipment works even if it's 10 or 20 years old. :) Same designs have always worked.
I could never say enough good things about all the people Keith and I have met in this month!

I've got most of my responsibilities taken care of, and I WANT to do them again, so things are looking up. However, I'm still in a lot of pain, and frankly, I'm getting tired of it.
I will be seeing a new doctor on December 11th, which is the earliest that I could get an appointment, and I hope the new doctor at least listens to me.
I did, however, get a job offer from H&R Block. I will be working at the South Hill Mall Sears store. It'll be great! Money to pay our income taxes (always a GOOD thing) and to save too.
