As I look at my cluttered house, I realize just how much my husband does in its upkeep. Now, I've still been hurting but he needs my help as well to do things. I've started cooking, and he does the clean up, and it's helped that we're eating better. A lot less junk food, and more vegatables and meat. I personally like red meat, but my DH is more inclined to eat chicken. :)
We're starting to put things away that have been in storage for several years. Living in an apartment that is 750 square feet, doesn't leave much room for things you collect, espeically when you combine two households into one. My DH may not have brought much into our marriage, since he was still living at home, but we collected a lot of stuff in 9 years! Now, all of that accumilation is in our garage and we're slowly going through the boxes and getting rid of stuff we no longer want or need. After an item has been in a box for 9 years, you find that you don't need it anymore, nine times out of ten, and you just donate it, put it in a pile of garage sale items, or throw it away.
Kind of like a cleanzing of your life... take stock of what you have and where you get rid of old things. Looking at my life, now, I'm catagorizing things that I am doing, and looking at everything. If something is just THERE, and I'm not doing much with it, or anything with it, then I am going to let it go, and move on to other things. Working on access for those with disabilities is my #1 thing, and something has to go for me to do THAT. So, I'm examining my life, and deciding what can go and what can stay.
