Well, the convention is here. We'll see how things work out tonight when I get there... I should have been there today, but I couldn't find out how to get there via bus... I could get as far as Seattle, but then, nothing. *sigh*
My feelings about all this crap that the convention threw at me are that I really don't care if I go to the convention or not. They wanted me to compromise, but they didn't want to do the same thing, so why should I care about them and their convention?

Been working on items to help others who are disabled and especially those that use service or assistance dogs. I've got neat informational cards all made up that a person can give to a business owner, or someone that is trying to restrict their access and hopefully, that will take care of the problem.
Gillis has been more of a twit today than usual, which means he probably thinks his good behavior this weekend, has to end. *laugh* He was very good while I was out and about learning how to do investigations and to spot ADAAG violations. My friend, Fred, also has a Doberman, but Red Zepplin is 8 years old and very much a laid back dog. He did try to get Gillis to play, but I think Gillis figured he'd get in trouble for it. *laugh* Anyway, he was very good, and even learned not to whine while in the car/van.
Now, I'm wiped from three days of running around. I've got get it together since I have a convention this weekend, and I need to start working at H&R Block on Monday.

Another year has come and gone... and boy, did this year go fast! I'm a purist, which means that I believe the new Millennium started January 1, 2001. There isn't a year zero, so the 3rd millennium started THIS year. :)
I've got a lot going on this year, with getting a job at H&R Block, and with working for ADA Consulting Associates as an ADA litigation investigator. I can't wait to start REALLY making a difference in this world. I believe that God has shown me what he wants me to do, and while I have been showing people that a disabled person can be a positive influence in life, I want to do more. And now, I have my chance.
I've got a friend in town from Florida who knows this ADA stuff backwards and forwards, and helped write the ADA. It's been a real shock when you walk into a hotel room that you think is disabled, and realize that there is a full page of stuff wrong with the room. I'm learning to look at every place that I go with eyes that see access issues.
But, I've also learned that this has to be fun as well... if it's no longer fun, and starts to make me angry, then it's time to stop. But, right now, it's fun. I go into a place and try to list any access violations that I see, and my friend, Fred, will then tell me if I'm right or not.
