I can't believe the nerve of some people. The district office has received two complaints about me, and this is really petty, that my fingernails and my hands were dirty. I've had clients that SMELLED and were covered in paint, and I sure can't complain about them! The fact that I use a wheelchair, and I mean USE a wheelchair and not just sit around looking pretty, escapes some people. So, the office manager had to figure out how to tell me this. Well, after she told me, I told her to just be blunt, and that's not hard for her, she ALWAYS is! *grin* What we decided to do is for me to paint my fingernails and use baby wipes to clean my hands after I've been somewhere (the bathroom, lunch, coming to work). So now, I'm using fingernail polish and actually, it's not as bad a chore as I thought it would be. I'm using a neutral color (my boss was with BLUE fingernail polish yesterday), as I'm not really into bright colors.
It just frosts me that people would complain about such things... it's not MY fault that my wheelchair makes my hands dirty, it's just something I've had to accept, and I can't go wash my hands nearby... so even though I wash my hands when I'm in the bathroom, they'll get dirty going back to my cubicle. Sears's floors are DIRTY!!!! I don't suppose these clients ever thought to complain about THAT! Oh, well, tax season is over in two weeks!

Well, I'm doing pretty well in the installation of all the apps that I use. Found registration information for all applications, even CuteFTP, they had to email it to me, but now I've got it! *laugh* I haven't reinstalled ICQ or MSN Messenger yet, and I know there are some of you that wonder where the heck I've disappeared to. I'm here, just really tired, and working 6 days a week, although that will change on Monday, when Jane comes back to work after being off for three weeks. The money is sure nice, but I'll be glad when tax season is over!
Speaking of money, I'm picking up a new dishwasher, as I really hate our old one... it's 25 years old and you have to wash the dishes before you can put them in the dishwasher, which is stupid. Sears is going to see about giving me a deal on a discontinued model, and having set my limit at $350, that should still get me a pretty nice dishwasher. I've also picked up the 3rd edition Dungeon and Dragons core rulebooks. And a Gameboy Color. With Pokemon Gold. *grin* I really like Pokemon as it's a strategy game, more than a shoot-em-up. Because of my disability, I can't really do video games that require reflexes, so Pokemon and Zelda are great games. Zelda does, however, require somewhat of a bit of dexterity, but not that much. I've gotten farther in Pokemon Gold than I ever did in Pokemon Blue. I have to find my cart for Blue, tho, so I can transfer some pokemon over.

I really really hate reinstalling software. We finally got the CD drives showing up, only because my husband discovered they were both slaves, and um, you need at least ONE master on the IDE bus. *laugh* So, now both CD drives can be seen. So here I am, working on the computer, and things start crashing, and giving me the old Windows "blue screen". After much poking around in the inards of the main computer, I decided that Windows ME was just too messed up, and needed to be reinstalled on a clean hard drive. Took me 3 hours to do it, last night, and because this was a clean install, I have to reinstall all the applications that I use.
Started doing that tonight. Got the important apps installed, Musicmatch Jukebox, Homesite (HTML editor), and Paintshop Pro! Usually works just great when you install them, except you have to make sure you have the serial numbers so you can make your shareware versions into full registered versions, without paying more money to register them again. I'm having a problem with CuteFTP, as I don't see a registration file on my computer for it. *sigh* I hope the website will give me help on that. I really don't want to have to call them to convince them I'm me.
